The role
We currently have opportunities to join our Soft Services Team in Stansted as a Cleaning Operative. Cleaning Operatives are a critical part of the operation and key to our success. The structure allows internal progression to Senior Cleaner and Supervisor roles. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the terminal is clean 24/7 365 days a year whilst Health and Safety Regulations are adhered to.
- Working to ensure we have a clean Airport and that our customers always receive an excellent customer experience, 24/7, 365 days a year.
- Successful day to day delivery of cleaning and waste clearance in the allocated area of responsibility.
- Respond positively, politely and promptly to all customers and carry out duties in a professional and courteous manner.
- To ensure COSHH and Health & Safety regulations are adhered to and any incidents are reported in line with procedures.
- Ensure timely fault reporting of any broken equipment
What will make you successful in the role?
We are looking for team players with an enthusiastic approach, can-do attitude, and a working knowledge of cleaning chemicals and disposal methods. Ideally have previous cleaning experience gained in a similar commercial environment such as, hospitals, hotels, shopping centres, train stations etc. Other skills required include:
- The ability to communicate effectively with individuals including passengers, colleagues and other stakeholders.
- Ability to walk, bend, push, pull and lift repetitively during working hours.
- Ability to work in a team and autonomously.
- Basic level of spoken English required to understand safety instructions and liaise with customers.
