The Role:


As a Senior Capacity Analyst, you will provide management and oversight of capacity analysis undertaken across the three airports. You will ensure all analysis and modelling undertaken by Capacity Planners/Analysts is robust and consistent in approach across MAG’s airports, reflecting industry best practice. You will also provide expert analytical advice to the business on capacity issues, making recommendations on the best analytical approach to evaluate a problem. Other accountabilities include:


  • To develop and provide governance to MAG’s suite of analysis models used in Capacity Planning, including static models and bespoke simulation tools.
  • Develop a strategy and standards around capacity analysis methodologies to ensure consistent application and reporting across the Group. 
  • Work with senior stakeholders across key Operational, Assets functions and Site-wide Development to ensure appropriate analytical tools/methodologies are in place to support the development of future asset requirements.
  • Identify gaps in analytical support and develop solutions to meet business needs.
  • Ensure appropriate analytical and/or simulation support is provided to Operational and other Asset teams to inform relevant business cases and development plans across the Group. 




You will be an expert in airport capacity analysis and simulation modelling, with extensive CAST Terminal experience, demonstrated through qualification and/or experience in airport/capacity analysis or process improvement. You will be well versed in analytical and statistical techniques necessary to provide robust analysis that considers variability and volatility, and have at least 8 years’ experience developing and operating complex process or pedestrian simulation models. Other skills required:


  • Be highly competent and experienced in helping identify and refine plans and solutions, taking into account a wide range of influencing needs and factors and being able to consolidate diverse information to undertake robust analysis and make clear recommendations.
  • Possess strong facilitating and influencing skills and experience of managing a wide variety of stakeholders with often conflicting needs.
  • Have good knowledge of the industry, operational airport processes, customer (airline/passenger) needs and behaviours, and the regulatory environment within which we operate.
