Job Purpose 

As Waste Operative your main purpose will be to:

• To effectively deliver a wasteaway service from the Terminal and surrounding site
• To transfer waste in a timely and effective manner
• To deliver the end to end process for the retail waste away process including delivery of recycling, food and waste bags
• Waste sortation at source in the recycling plant

Principal Accountabilities for Waste Operative:

• Responsible for operational delivery of waste removal
• Reporting of any contamination of recycling waste
• Excellent knowledge of waste away services and recycling constraints
• Be a champion of promoting recycling within the airport to drive improvements
• Manage any necessary remedial action when services do not meet the required standard
• Delivery of continuous improvement and efficiencies

Knowledge, Experience and Skills

• Knowledge of waste away processes
• Physically able to carry out the tasks including manoevering up to 1100 litre wheelie bins
• Able to understand a peak and flow operation and react in real time to operational requirements

This role offers a salary of £21,797.85, in addition to 17.5% shift allowance.  In addition, there are comapny benefits.
