The role 

As a Head of Product Architecture in our MAG Technology team you’ll own the overall technical architecture and design governance for the product area and support the management of Solution Architects within the team via a matrix model. You’ll work closely with Product Managers, business stakeholders and the wider Digital Products & Services team to support the creation, maintenance and implementation of product roadmaps aligned with MAG’s enterprise architecture and within our design governance process. You’ll also play a key role in leading our people, whether that be Solution Architects in a particular product area or Business Analysts and Product teams working on projects that impact your technology stack. Together, you’ll be helping to solve problems for our business by identifying processes, data, technology and people requirements to digitize our passenger journey, improve aircraft turnaround times, optimize colleague experiences and drive efficiencies across our group.   

 

What will make you successful in the role? 

You’ll have at least 5 years’ experience as Head of Architecture or Lead Architect role in any architectural discipline, with TOGAF or equivalent experience, a degree level qualification and/or equivalent experience in a relevant field and experience of working in a complex, global organisation. You’ll also have proven experience of managing technology architecture within a transformational business effecting successful IT change; designing and delivering technology strategy; managing process, data, information and technology architecture. You’ll have an extensive knowledge of managing infrastructure, applications, business process automation; architectural modelling, design and road mapping; Servers and Storage, Data Centres, Applications and Middleware. You’ll be highly credible at senior levels with the ability to communicate clearly and be listened to at all levels of the organisation. You’ll be an effective leader and manager of high performing teams with experience of recruitment, development and performance management.
