Position Details:

As the Head of Talent Acquisition, you will be developing and delivering the resourcing strategy for MAG, driving process improvements, technology improvements, whilst also developing the capability of the Talent Acquisition Partners to ensure great candidate experience, quality resourcing, and selection choices that lead to diverse, quality hires, that both deliver in the roles to which they have been recruited as well as having potential for future growth.


As well as developing attraction, sourcing and selection strategies that align with, support and deliver on MAG’s Equity, Diversity & Inclusion ambitions, you will also be providing thought leadership to the function, driving continuous improvement in recruiting technologies, assessment methodologies, EVP, Diversity and candidate experience.


Typical duties include (not limited to):


  • Develop the Talent Acquisition Strategy for MAG and manage the overall process and quality of hiring
  • Create and manage key measures which will indicate the progress, success and RoI of the function.
  • Drive diversity through the hiring process by ensuring hiring managers are suitably trained, that attraction, assessment and selection processes are designed to attain our ambitions in this area and that we are playing back our hiring data to our stakeholders
  • Lead a team of professional recruiters, co-ordinators and administrators to deliver a best-in-class experience to our customers and candidates
  • Develop the MAG EVP
  • Work with the People Directors and Heads of People to ensure that the Talent Acquisition Strategy and Operational hiring is aligned to the needs of the business, now and in the future
  • Respond to seasonal recruitment demand and provide appropriate planning and resource to deliver to the business
  • Work with the Graduate and Early Talent Manager and Head of L&D to develop and deliver the MAG Early Talent Strategy which will deliver the capabilities we need for the future and a diverse pipeline of future leaders
  • Develop partnerships with third parties who will support our agenda by providing world class expertise and thought leadership that we don’t have in-house





As the successful candidate, you must have Extensive experience of leading recruitment for a large, high-profile business with hiring volumes in excess of 250 hires per annum.


Candidates with a strong combination of the following skills are encouraged to apply:


  • Experience of managing senior leader recruitment campaigns and managing the Exec stakeholders
  • Experience of leading a diversity agenda through a Talent Acquisition team
  • Extensive senior stakeholder management experience
  • Experience of leading a professional in-house Talent Acquisition teams
  • Experience of developing a full organisational Talent Acquisition Strategy
  • Experience of creating and managing recruitment data and drawing insight to illustrate RoI to the business and to shape future decisions
