The Role: 



As a Senior UX Designer, you will join a fast-paced business going through huge growth. You will deliver disruptive, user-centric and intuitive experiences across our digital platforms. Our approach to digital puts user needs at the heart of decision making. You will play a pivotal role in user research initiatives and will design experiences and services that exceed customers’ expectations. You will be experienced in using a variety of user research methods to reveal actionable insights and will have the ability to quickly develop recommendations based on quantitative and qualitative evidence.


You will take an inclusive and collaborative approach to designing simple digital experiences working closely with product leads, digital analysts and the wider development teams. In conjunction with CAVU Product Leads you will run ideation and design workshops with enthusiasm and drive. You will understand our primary customer journeys and help build a clear picture of customer problems to create leading edge interaction and design whilst considering technical and performance constraints. As a senior member of the team you will have an entrepreneurial spirit, be resourceful, forward thinking and committed.


We create customer-centric and stress free digital travel experiences for our passengers. You will play a part in delivering a pragmatic and iterative approach to helping us realise and continue to improve on this vision. You will play a major part in driving lean, fail fast development approaches creating low-fidelity designs for user testing and iteration then working closely with the development team to quickly deliver amazing new experiences for our customers. As we grow you will be responsible for the development of new more junior members of the team.






You will already be an experienced digital designer. You may be coming from either a leading digital agency, or from an ‘in-house’ team, with significant experience of close collaboration with product owners and other stakeholders to deliver a product via an agile methodology, more specifically through the running of i.e. cross discipline ideation workshops and design sprints.


You will be up to date with the latest technology and have working knowledge of Figma/Adobe CC and be able to produce usable high & low fidelity prototypes.


It is strongly preferred that you have worked previously within a very fast paced and demanding retail focused/ ecommerce environment. You must be the type of person who is able to drive your own workload, and proactively use insights to create improvements. As a Senior Designer, you may be mentoring junior designers. As such, previous management/ mentoring skills will be highly regarded.
