Part of MAG Group (the UK’s largest Airport Group), MAGO is a global organisation that provides revenue generating solutions for airports around the world. We have a large focus on digital technology and ecommerce - utilising advanced data insights, digital platforms, and new and emerging technologies to ensure that we remain an ever-evolving engine house of ideas and innovation. Our core focus is to create commercial value for our B2B partners. Our eCommerce platforms enable passengers traveling through an airport to book and pay for products from across the customer journey (parking, transfers, hotels etc).This provides enormous value for our airport clients in terms of revenue, as well as a seamless consumer and travel experience for their customers. We also provide other commercial services, for example revenue management and digital marketing to help them grow their business. Online product distribution is also a large part of our business. All in all – we focus on maximising non aeronautical revenue for our global airport clients.

 

The Role:

 

We are looking for a Social Media Manager to manage and grow our organic social media channels, across both our B2B brand and our D2C brands internationally. The role will be responsible for managing the social media strategy and in delivering social media campaigns for the above two areas. This role will also be key in delivering multi-channel, integrated campaigns ensuring best practice and KPI reporting are always maintained.

 

Typical Duties include:

 

  • Develop the strategy for our organic social media channels and create campaigns that align with both our short term and longer-term OKRs
  • Build and develop a social media content strategy to support the embedding and growth of our new brand!
  • Develop a social media calendar for all brands, ensuring key consumer hooks are included and the latest market trends applied
  • Create and manage our social media playbook for all brands
  • Monitor and measure performance through key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Conduct regular competitor monitoring and benchmarking
  • Keep up to date with industry advances so that our brands are represented by an innovative and engaging activity
  • Create design briefs and liaise with our internal creative team and content writers
  • Adhere to all brand guidelines, ensuring the correct tone of voice across all platforms

Typical skills and experience required:

 

  • Skilled with hands-on experience in social media management or a similar digital role (either in-house or agency).
  • Proven track record of delivering successful social media strategies and campaigns
  • A deep understanding of the varying social media channels, their best use cases, and differences between their audiences
  • A confident and personable individual, comfortable working at all levels of our business
  • Used to managing multiple projects at the same time and collaborating with multiple stakeholders
  • Able to plan engaging content but also able to react quickly and adapt as necessary if required
  • Great communication skills, both written and verbal
  • A self-starter with a tenacious attitude
