The Role:


The eCommerce Lead will be responsible for Digital Marketing & eCommerce performance for our USA Division, which includes both own web and external airport clients for whom we provide digital marketing services. Without direct management responsibility, but with the support of 4 team members & an external agency the eCommerce lead will work with the Head of Performance Marketing to develop and deliver strategies for each of our MAG USA owned websites and those of our clients in line with MAG USA’s ambitious growth objectives. 


This is role encompasses a broad range of skills and duties. Put simply, the purpose of the role is to take the strategy/ business plan and ensure that all stakeholder/ departments (internal and external) deliver what is required. As such you will have matrix management responsibility across Marketing and Tech teams etc. and be the central go-to person for delivering eCommerce strategy.  


The eCommerce lead has a pivotal role in the business as both the owner of Digital Marketing performance but also working cross department to optimise web performance, increase EBITA contribution and secure new Digital Marketing contracts at US airports.



Typical Duties:


  • Maximising a growing portfolio of MAG USA owned websites
  • Analyse and interpret data to identify key opportunities and drive volume
  • Work closely with partner such as Google/ FaceBook etc.
  • Devise and deliver a cutting-edge Digital Marketing strategy to deliver MAG USA’s business objectives.
  • Increase revenue contribution through cross sell / upsell across MAG USA’s product mix.
  • Develop marketing campaigns around key trading periods for both own web and external clients.
  • Work closely with the product team to improve the customer journey and conversion rate.
  • Deliver reporting suite focussing on performance and KPIs, recommending tactics & strategies where appropriate.
  • Continuous market & competitor analysis resulting in actionable insight.
  • Identify opportunities across all paid media to drive revenue growth.




You will be highly analytical & with previous experience in growing web traffic/customer acquisition, This is varied role, so we need someone who adaptable and analytical. It is crucial that you have very strong stakeholder management skills (as managing multi-team work streams is key) You do not need to have prior US Marketing experience but you do need to be commercially focused with examples in your career of delivering complex eCommerce/ Marketing projects, which are aligned to key business strategies and have created significant financial growth.
