The Role:
You will support the development and implementation of a metering strategy across all MAG sites, whilst identifying and delivering energy saving initiatives and sharing best practices across the MAG group. You will also ensure continued certification to ISO50001 & ISO140001 and support the function as MAG moves to group management systems. Other accountabilities include:
- Carry out electric meter & datalogger installation, repair and replacement as required
- Commission meters & datalogger equipment onto the Energy Metering Platform (full training provided)
- Carry out Quality and Compliance checks on direct and sub-contracted Meter installations
- Promote safety culture and ensure compliance with the requirements of the Health and Safety at Work Act
- Ensure all metering systems are functional to ensure income recovery from all customers is captured
- Support the monitoring of the energy efficiency of the Airport campus to identify opportunities to reduce energy consumption and improve the efficient usage of energy

What will make you successful in this role?
You will be a self-motivated individual with excellent time-management and problem-solving skills, as well as having the ability to meet and achieve tight deadlines. You will be an excellent communicator and be able to work well within a team. Other skills required:
- Electrical based qualification – NVQ Level 3 or higher in an Electrical Discipline
- Preferably a minimum of 3 years' experience in all technical aspects of electrical metering including installing single/three phase whole current and preferably CT meters
- Experience of commercial smart metering and BEMS as advantage
- General IT experience - Microsoft Word and Excel in particular
- Ability to utilise PC based systems to interrogate automated equipment and effectively diagnose faults
- The ability to generate and follow safe systems of work
- Full UK Driving License is essential
Desirable skills:
- Experience of Modbus networks desirable
- Gas, Water & Heat Networks experience advantageous
- Schneider PME Platform knowledge advantageous
- Qualified with an HNC/HND or equivalent in electrical engineering
