  • Ensure all metering systems are functional to ensure income recovery from all customers is captured
  • Contribute to the monitoring of the energy efficiency of the Airport campus to identify opportunities to reduce energy consumption and improve the efficient usage of energy
  • This includes work that is of a non-routine nature across the area of our operations
  • Carries out meter installation, repair and replacement as required, electric, gas, water & heat metering
  • Carries out specialist duties including datalogger installation, troubleshoot problematic Automated Meter Reading (AMR) installation
  • Commission meters onto the Schneider PME metering system
  • Carries out Quality and Compliance checks on direct and sub-contracted Meter installations
  • Promotes safety culture and ensures compliance with the requirements of the Health and Safety at Work Act and Meter Operators Code of Practice Agreement
  • Carries out additional unspecified tasks and duties as directed by the Energy Manager in line with the overall business needs of the company
  • To ensure delivery of the Group EnMS (Energy Management System)



  • Electrical based qualification - ONC minimum or equivalent, HNC/HND preferred
  • Preferably a minimum of 5 years' experience in all technical aspects of electrical metering including installing single/three phase whole current and preferably CT meters
  • Having experience of installing and commissioning meters onto an AMR platform
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-motivated but can equally function as part of a team
  • You possess initiative and excellent problem-solving skills
  • Excellent time management skills, working to targets and deadlines and possessing the ability to prioritise tasks and objectives
  • General IT literacy (Microsoft Office or similar)
  • Ability to meet and achieve tight internal and external deadlines.
  • Ability to utilise PC based systems to interrogate automated equipment and effectively diagnose faults
  • Full UK Driving License is essential



  • Experience of MODbus networks desirable
  • Gas, Water & Heat Networks experience advantageous
  • Schneider PME Platform knowledge desirable
