The role
The Airport Academy offers a free recruitment service for on-site companies and actively promotes employment and training opportunities to local communities. In partnership with Nottingham College, the Airport Academy Coordinator plays a key role in supporting MAG’s Sustainability Strategy.As Airport Academy Coordinator, you will be a passionate advocate for the Academy’s goals, engaging with local communities by attending outreach events at Jobcentre Plus offices across Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire, and Leicestershire. You will also represent the Academy at regional job fairs to promote opportunities, connect with potential candidates, and refer them to the Academy’s pre-employability training course.Additionally, you will collaborate with Nottingham College and other industry partners to deliver targeted, business-focused recruitment solutions that support growth and align with strategic objectives. The successful candidate must be available to work on-site at East Midlands Airport for the three days per week working around the hours of either 8am–4pm or 9am–5pm.
What will make you successful in the role?
You need strong written and verbal communication skills, capable of adapting information for various formats like newsletters and reports and be an active listener. You must be comfortable with public speaking, engaging large audiences, and connecting with diverse stakeholders.
As you will be expected to travel to various locations across Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire and Leicestershire, you will need to be able to drive to be considered for this role.
