The role:

As the Asset Lead, you will report to the Head of Asset Development, supporting on a number of key areas within Asset Management. Your role will be to support on the development of asset system strategies and renewal plans that account for asset health, whole life cost and risk. Supporting in the development of infrastructure plans and asset standards for East Midlands Airport will also be a key part of your role. You will also support on both the development of investment plans to standardise assets across groups, as well as the East Midlands Airport’s requirements for growth and service delivery. Other accountabilities include:


  • Functionally this role comprises developing, prioritising and delivering asset management strategies to support East Midlands Airport.
  • Support the development and deployment of asset criticality, performance and condition models for asset groups working collaboratively with the technical services, operational and maintenance teams to ensure data sources are reliable, accurate and complete. Use these models to inform maintenance plans and investment decisions that focus on whole life cost and optimising value for East Midlands Airport.
  • Support the creation of whole life Asset Management Plans for this asset group that inform business planning (1, 3, 5 and 25 year plans) and deliver agreed asset performance and regulatory compliance. Build collaborative relationships across airport Operational colleagues, Capital Delivery, IT, Group Procurement and Finance.
  • Provide insight into industry best practice, technology advances and how these may provide value for EMA


About you:

As the Asset Lead for MAG, you will have 3 years of experience in either Asset Management, Infrastructure or Engineering. This experience will be support by your commercial mindset and your experience in managing risk within this environment. Desirably, you will be educated to degree level, with experience in financial appraisal and whole life cost, however, these are not mandatory.
