The role
This exciting new role will be responsible for leading the Hard and Soft facilities management service, planning, and looking after asset performance as well as establishing and implementing effective delivery plans. Plans will consider service costing and the most efficient/effective deployment of resources. This will include the establishment of suitable processes and procedures for the delivery team, working in collaboration with all internal and external stakeholders.
You will also be responsible for the preparation and management of OPEX and CAPEX budgets for all FM functional specialist areas.
Principal Accountabilities
- Working closely with the FM provider to ensure that the Airport is clean and that waste away supports both the cleaning operation and third-party suppliers.
- Develop service delivery plans in conjunction with the FM team, utilizing technology to improve and innovate and ensuring operational performance and ongoing efficiencies.
- Ensure that people, processes and systems are continuously reviewed and updated to ensure that regulatory and service KPIs are met and that more efficient working practices are adopted.
- Plan, supply and/or co-ordinate major and key operational activities and/or services in an efficient and timely manner to support efficient airport operations.
What will make you successful in the role?
- Professional qualification in Facilities Management/Electrical/Mechanical/Building Services
- Extensive experience within an Engineering or FM management environment (Facilities Management, Engineering management, mechanical/electrical systems design, construction and/or maintenance, or closely related field)
- Proven ability to manage Opex and Capex budgets
- Demonstrable experience of effective management of FM teams
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience of leading and managing change
- Excellent communication skills to be able to present a case briefly and logically and to influence the Senior Leadership team.
