  • £11,304.01
  • Permanent position
  • 21 hours annualised contract (working full time hours in the summer with potential to work fewer shifts in the winter, for example you may not be rostered for shifts November to February.  You will be paid 21 hours per week consistently throughout the year.

 

East Midlands Airport (EMA) is two businesses in one: a modest low-cost passenger airport by day, but home to the UK’s largest dedicated air cargo operation at night.  Served by airlines Ryanair, Jet2, TUI, Aurigny and EasyJet, its passenger operation caters well for travellers who want a quick and easy escape to popular domestic and overseas leisure destinations in mainland Europe, Eastern Europe, and Northeast Africa.  In the last 12 months, the volume of goods handled at EMA has increased by almost 30% compared with the previous year, while December 2020 was the airport’s heaviest ever month on record.  

 

Car Park Support Assistants have a major role within East Midlands Airport, representing our team and being the face of the Airport for our customers who use one of our many Car Parks.

 

The main responsibility in this role is the safe movement of customer vehicles in the meet and greet service to and from storage areas maintaining service level agreements. As well as proving a first class customer experience.

 

Other duties include:

 

  • Monitor and maintain a presence at the RDO in slots to include (if required) manual cash collection.
  • Providing barrier maintenance (coin jams etc) following training provided and signed off by on site engineer.
  • On the ground customer service to direct customers in to/out of the terminal, to the bus stops and relevant car parks support all our guests with wayfinding throughout the airport site.
  • Collection and distribution of customer trolleys from both the airport estate including terminal front, car parks and airlock.
  • Complete training and be signed off to operate and drive the trolley trailer vehicle safely and in accordance with the standard operating procedures. Proof of licence required.
  • Litter picking, rubbish collection of all designated landside areas with safe removal and disposal of the rubbish at the relevant waste disposal site.
  • Winter operations support, to include gritting, de-icing, and other duties to ensure the safety of both staff and guests on the airport site.
  • Ensure mobile lighting rig units are filled with fuel to ensure they operate. Any issues flagged immediately.

  • Keyboard / PC skills

 

Interview process will consist of a driving assessment and competency based interview.
