Control of Works Officer

Summary

Establish and deliver a MAG specific contractor induction process using Power Plus.
Register contractors via MAG’s selected permit to work system following stated policies and procedures
Assess, accept, reject Risk Assessments and Method statements produced by contractors in support of proposed works
Process works access requests, assess requirement for individual work permits and where applicable send authorisation requests to authorised signatories
Carry out on site audit of contractor activities, logging and issuing contravention notices where appropriate
Provide guidance to contractors and other stakeholders in relation to MAG’s prevailing Control of Works policies
Manage and co-ordinate the overall Permit to Work process and effectively manage against SLA’s for the CoW function
Own the relationship with the contractors to ensure they are safe, compliant and complete the work to the required standard.

The role

Ensure your personal safety and the safety of others at all times;

What will make you successful in the role?

Previous experience in an administrative role
Excellent IT skills, able to produce accurate reports
Excellent communication skills both verbally and written
Self motivated, able to take responsibility of tasks
