The Role

As part of an exciting new phase in the Asset Management division of East Midlands Airport we are looking to hire a best in class Engineering Manager. This is a brand new position, with a remit to lead a team and develop & implement strategy.

You will be tasked with devising and successfully implementing strategies, in line with overall business strategy, that will work to improve reliability, availability and maintainability of both equipment and processes. You will work closely with a range of departments, to ensure that these strategies are integrated into all aspects of the orgainsation. You will also be accountable for trending asset data from Maximo to enable robust root cause fix is implemented.

To be successful in the above tasks, you will need to build and maintain strong working relationships across the airport, at all stakeholder levels. You will need to be able to make decisions across a background of multiple stakeholder requirements, and assess the impact of the agreed maintenance plan.

 

Who are we looking for?

First and foremost we are looking for professional qualification in Electrical, Mechanical or Building Services, at a minimum level of HNC. You will need demonstrable success in an Engineering Management environment; mechanical – construction – maintenance or something very closely related.

Experience of managing Opex and Capex budgets is vital, as are People Management skills.

Finally your personal communication skills and relationship building ability will undoubtedly affect your success in this role. With multiple stakeholders and a team to lead, influencing those around you will be pivotal.

We have a hybrid working policy, requiring you to be on-site at the airport for 3 days each week.
