The Role
The Stores Manager is responsible for overseeing the efficient receipt, storage, and dispatch of a wide range of goods from staff uniform to critical operational spares. This role ensures that the right products are delivered to the right location on time and in a presentable condition. At East Midlands Airport we have over 4 million passengers a year pass through the terminal and an extensive 24/7 cargo operation. It is vital that we have the critical spares available to us in the event of a breakdown reducing the impact on our customers. This role is a key part of the team making the customer journey effortless and optimizing how the airport operates for both cargo and passengers.
As the store’s manager you will be accountable to ensuring stock levels and data management is kept up to date. You will drive the data collection into Maximo to ensure accurate stock levels against critical assets. This is a key role in the maintenance team and you will need to be able to work as a team and also self-driven.
This role will also manage stock items across the whole site for a range of other users such as; Security, Uniform, IT.
This fundamental role will ensure minimal downtime and maximum efficiency from the maintenance team and critical assets.
You
We are hoping to find someone with strong experience of both inventory control and management, preferably in a similar size operation or business. Ideally you will also have managed supply chain and external vendors. You will need super time management and organisational skills, combined with effective communication and and interpersonal skills.
