The role

As Maintenance Engineer you will be part of the wider Assets team, and be required to plan & carryout the work scheduled in Maximo - maintaining all work records and facilitating on all reporting on performance of the asset maintenance teams.

You will be responsible for carrying out effective planned, preventive, and reactive engineering maintenance works to achieve plant reliability, performance, product quality and safety targets.

In addition, you will be the lynchpin between the asset Maintenance Team - co-ordinating sub-contractor control, job registrations, work scheduling for the Asset Maintenance team) ensuring that the workflow and prioritisation of day-to-day maintenance activity is optimised, and all logs are updated accordingly with up-to-date maintenance information

More detailed accountabilities will include

 

  • Troubleshooting and rectification of faults sitewide
  • Identification of improvements that can be made to enhance efficiencies and productivity.
  • Carry out planned and preventive maintenance works required to minimize downtime due to equipment failure.
  • Utilise MAG’s Maximo system to accurately record all activities for both planned and reactive tasks. .
  • Oversee contractors on site

What will make you successful in the role?

We are looking for the following experience

  • You must hold a engineering qualifications to either NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds level 3, BTEC Level III, ONC or HNC/D with practical applied learning of this within a operational environment
  • You must be Multi skilled with experience ideally electrical or mechanical engineering
  • Knowledge of maintaining and repairing Conveyor systems.
  • Demonstrable experience of safe systems or work as well as the ability to work safely.
  • Experience and competence in using all Microsoft products as well as bespoke Computerised Maintenance Systems.
  • Ability to work unsupervised by self and as part of a team.
  • Must hold a valid UK driving license issued by the DVLA and satisfy the medical criteria for holding an airside-driving permit.
