The Role


We have an exciting opportunity for a Level 3 qualified mechanic to join our Motor Transport team based on site at East Midlands Airport.  You will be responsible for carrying out vehicle repairs and all garage services whilst delivering excellent customer services.


Typical Duties will include:


  • Carry out vehicle maintenance and repairs on light and HGV vehicles
  • Actively support department towards attaining business objectives
  • Adhere to all H&S legislation, Risk Assessments and Safe Systems of Work
  • Ensure cost effective methods of repair are undertaken
  • After hours on call out rota (1week every 4 weeks) need to be able to attend the airport within 1 hour of call out due to SLA agreements,




  • Level 3 City and Guilds qualification or an equivalent NVQ Level 3 in a mechanical specialism
  • Experience of working on various car and light vehicles
  • Experience of working with HGV and Plant vehicles,  
  • Demonstrable experience of working with Diagnostic Equipment
  • Qualified MOT Tester (desirable)
  • Must hold a valid UK driving license issued by the DVLA and satisfy the medical criteria for holding an airside-driving permit.
  • HGV driving license. (desirable)
