•    Terminal Security team
•    London Stansted Airport
•    £15.35 per hour (£13.85 p.h. during initial 3-month probation period.)  
•    Additional allowances, including shift pay, will also be applicable, according to the shift worked
•    Different contract types available
•    From 20 hours per week.  Contracts will require flexibility and will cover a range of hours and weekends

The role

 

Security Officers are one of the most vital roles in the airport, ensuring that all passengers have a safe and enjoyable journey.
 
In this exciting role you will get involved in -
 
✈ Conducting hand searches of customers and cabin luggage as required in Security
✈ Operating high-tech security equipment such as X-Ray machines and body scanners
✈ Patrolling our terminal and manning posts
✈ Checking of staff ID cards and customer boarding cards before entering the security area
✈ Delivering great service to our customers

 

What will make you successful in the role?

 

No security experience is required as we pride ourselves in offering full training, but you will ideally have experience of working in a customer focused environment.  Naturally, we want to see enthusiasm, a proactive attitude and your ability to deliver excellent customer service. As the face of MAG, we need you to be well presented, punctual and focused on attention to detail.


 
Please note, all candidates must have perfect colour vision and the role will require long periods of standing, bending, walking and manual handling.


 
If you’re successful you will be made a conditional offer subject to Pre-Employment checks and passing your initial four week training course (40 hours - Monday to Friday) which is fully paid. Our checks include: A Criminal Record Check, 5 years employment history and Counter Terrorism Check. You will also be required to attend a face to face medical appointment.
