40 Hours per week (shift patterns are 4 shifts on, 4 off, days and nights - 0700-1900, 1900 - 0700)
Salary – Band 7 - £37,550 rising to £41,587 upon successful completion of a 3 month probationary period (including shift allowance of 17.5%), with effect from 1 October 2025.

The role
London Stansted Airport are seeking a Civils Maintenance Operative to carry out various maintenance tasks across the airport estate to the highest standard, whilst observing best working practices.
To work in a team, proactively ensuring that the landscape infrastructure (both interior and exterior) is maintained within regulatory, safety, quality and performance standards.
Ensure that all plant and equipment is maintained in a safe operational condition. Identify any faults and report to the appropriate person(s) for action
Safe operation of machinery, always wearing the necessary PPE
Be responsible for maintenance tasks as defined in the maintenance schedule. Ensure all reactive work is acted upon and completed in line with any service level agreements and customer requirements
Be responsible for ensuring compliance with health and safety, safe working practices and relevant legislation
What will make you successful in the role?
This position would suit someone that has experience in ground working, landscaping, labouring, general building/maintenance. The role will involve working outside and in all weathers across the airport estate.
Professional qualification in building/plumbing/general maintenance or suitable working experience required (please demonstrate this on your CV / covering letter)
Full UK driving licence is essential
Towing experience is desirable
Punctuality, strong organisational, communication and interpersonal skills
Experience of team and lone working
