The role
As a Cleaning Supervisor, you will lead day-to-day cleaning operations across an allocated area, ensuring high standards, compliance and a positive guest experience.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Demonstrable responsibility for the operational delivery of cleaning standards across an airport environment, including auditing, monitoring and reporting performance against agreed KPIs and managing remedial action where standards are not met.
- Ability to coordinate and plan cleaning activities and resources to maximise service delivery, compliance and operational effectiveness.
- Experience of mentoring and developing Cleaning Coordinators, supporting effective succession planning and maintaining accurate, up-to-date O&M and asset information through the Cleaning Performance Manager.
- Ability to lead operational discussions, manage stakeholder expectations, implement agreed solutions and act as the first line of response for cleaning issues, remaining accountable to key stakeholders across the business.
- Experience of identifying and delivering continuous improvement, efficiencies and partnership opportunities, with an innovative approach to achieving objectives.
- Ability to make effective use of industry techniques and best practice to drive operational standards and service delivery.
What will make you successful in the role?
- Excellent technical knowledge of cleaning services, cleaning best practice and COSHH, with knowledge of health and safety requirements.
- Experience managing a large operational team in a high-footfall environment, with strong leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to build effective professional relationships with customers and colleagues, and influence and motivate at all levels.
- Ability to give clear, constructive feedback, develop two-way communication and deliver difficult messages sensitively and tactfully.
- Ability to understand peak and flow operations, respond in real time to operational requirements, interpret data and deploy staff effectively to achieve KPIs.
- IT literate, including Word, Excel, Maximo and Touchwork, with a self-motivated approach and the ability to create a clear vision of success for the team.
- Driving license advantageous but not essential
