The role

 

You will play an important role in delivering all the relevant aspects of the corporate CSR strategy at London Stansted to develop and inform airport community programmes.

 

Reporting to the Group Head of Community Engagement, you’ll support the Stansted Airport Leadership team in the delivery of the CSR Strategy priority “Local Voices” and deliver community support projects & consultations. The role will ensure that Stansted Airport implements in full the relevant community regulatory, legal, and planning obligations. 

 

You will build positive working relationships with senior external & internal stakeholders to deliver community engagement plans, including airport volunteering and to lead all aspects of community consultation and outreach.

 

As part of the wider Group Community Engagement team and working closely with CEMs at Manchester and East Midlands you’ll ensure the reputation of MAG’s airports is promoted and protected.

What will make you successful in the role?

 

To be successful in this role, you will be able to effectively communicate with various stakeholders across all levels of the organisation. This includes being able to speak confidently in public and produce high quality and professional written communication materials.

 

Key to success in this role will be your ability to create and sustain positive working relationships and manage their individual requirements. Therefore, you will have previous experience working in a similar role (within aviation is desirable) and be able to proactively listen to people without influencing them.

 

Being able to build personal and professional credibility quickly is imperative in this role. So, you will also have proven experience whereby you can work independently and under pressure dealing with issues and conflicts sensitively and confidently whilst being a credible and effective ambassador for MAG.
