The role
This is a key position in maintaining the safety culture at London Stansted Airport and ensuring we are set up to deal with unexpected challenges facing the operation. This role will be primarily focused on Governance and Assurance. The key responsibilities will be:
- Generating regular reports to identify gaps and improvements, escalating with relevant stakeholders
- Support first line assurance program for Business Continuity and Resilience
- Audit prioritisation based on risk assessments and regulated activities
- Escalation of assurance activities through governance
- Ensuring effective communication and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders
- Support the assurance of compliance with regulations outlined by the Civil Aviation Authority
- Deliver the actions from the strategy in line with business needs, supporting the operation and stakeholders across the business.
- Support the coordination of emergency preparedness training sessions.
What will make you successful in the role?
In order to be successful in this role, you will possess the following:
- Understanding of Emergency Management principles, practises and regulations
- Aptitude for identifying risks within existing processes
- An understanding of internal and external audit processes and methodologies (desirable)
- Familiarity of working with data and using this to produce clear and actionable reports
- Attention to detail, being thorough
- Analytical thinking, break down complex problems and situations
- Communication, good at explaining things clearly both in writing and speaking
- Problem solving, quickly and effectively solving issues as they arise
- General familiarity with Microsoft Office suite
