The role
The key responsibilities for the Engineering Apprentice include:
- Exploring all aspects of engineering at the airport—from mechanical and electrical to electronics and software—while performing an integral role in ensuring passengers have a seamless journey with us.
- Attending Harlow College to develop the skills, knowledge, and behaviours needed to achieve the Level 3 qualification.
- Learning to use IT tools, understand engineering problem-solving, and follow safety regulations.
- Gaining an understanding of risk mitigation, fault-finding, quality management, and sustainability.
- Delivering a high-quality, reliable service to passengers, tenants, and other customers through effective and efficient maintenance and repair of airport assets.
- Completing all work in accordance with the most up to date processes and contributing towards the continuous improvement of the maintenance service.
What will make you successful in the role?
- Mathematics, English and at least one Science subject at GCSE grade 4 or above is required
- A passion for Engineering
- A commitment to complete the Level 3 Engineering qualification
- The ability to work within a collaborative and respectful team environment
- Self-motivated and proactive in approach
- Candidate must be aged 18 by 1st July 2027
- Full manual driving licence, or working towards their licence
