  • £23,628.48 rising to 26,168.76 after 3 months


The Role:


You will ensure that specified equipment and facilities within the Terminal Building and Satelites operate effectively to enable the delivery of a high quality, reliable service to passengers, tenants and other internal / external customers, through effective and efficient maintenence to airport assets. Duties include: 


  • Undertake planned or reactive maintenance work on Terminal facilities ensuring optimum serviceability.
  • Inspect assets, assessing and reporting what work is required and undertaking that work.
  • Carry out tasks which require in depth technical competence in general building maintenance or minor work in other disciplines.
  • Use work management systems (for example MAXIMO) to action work orders and enter data. Also use maintenance system data to understand individual, team and asset performance.
  • Ensure that all engineering and operating records are updated to meet business, regulatory & manufacturer requirements.
  • Communicate effectively with customers and building maintenance team colleagues on the progress of completing work.
  • Operate and promote working practices which ensure a safe working environment for self and others, contributing to the development of a safety culture.
  • Engage proactively in any work associated with delivering performance improvements within the Terminal facilities environment.
  • Work with others, including colleagues on a one to one basis to help them learn.
  • Proactively upgrade skills to facilitate the maintenance and operation of new assets being delivered into service to ensure that they are maintained in a manner which keeps them performing at an appropriate level.




To be successful in this role you will require one of the following:

  • City and Guilds in Part 1, 2 or 3 plumbing (or equivalent).
  • City and Guilds in Part 1, 2 or 3 carpentry (or equivalent).


You will also need:

  • Demonstrable experience of providing facilities maintenance in a complex, busy environment.
  • Able to demonstrate that through formal training or apprenticeship schemes and / or practical experience has gained underpinning technical knowledge and technical skills in facilities maintenance.
  • Experienced in working with a Maintenance Management system and operating under a ‘safe system of work’.
  • Completion of relevant & related safety skills training.

Salary and Location:


£23,628.48 rising to 26,168.76 after 3 months

Hours: Monday – Friday – 40hrs per week (8am-4pm)
