The Role:

Our Head of Security role will have the primary responsibility to provide leadership to c7 direct reports and a workforce of c900 colleagues as we embark on a journey to transform our security hall with our Future Security programme rollout! Reporting into our Customer Operations Director, this position is not only critical to the safety of our passengers, but also is responsible for achieving a friendly and efficient flow of customers who receive a professional, positive experience. This role will have the opportunity to design and implement plans that achieve full optimization of security equipment, current infrastructure and people plans that keep all our colleagues engaged. People are at our core at Stansted Airport, so ensuring our colleagues feel engaged and part of this transformation journey is pivotal.  

We have big aspirations to transform our airport, and our Head of Security will be pivotal in ensuring that our ambitious transformation programs in Future Security and the terminal expansion meet all objectives. This is a multi-faceted role that offers the opportunity to lead a complex, fast-moving large-scale environment whilst playing a big part in the future of Stansted.

You:

As a Head of Security at Stansted Airport, successful candidates will need ample experience of leading a large team in a customer service, operational effectiveness and commercial environment. Strong stakeholder management experience will be key to collaborate with other teams, especially Business Change and Capital Delivery teams to ensure seamless roll outs of our Transformation programs. The ability to also collaborate with Airport planning to ensure the operational plans align with KPI’s and the OPEX budget will be essential. This role will require exceptional leadership and people skills, with a passion for improving security performance processes whilst keeping in line with MAG, DFT and CAA safety standards!
