About the role:


As a Painter & Decorator for MAG, you will:

  • Undertake planned and reactive painting tasks on STAL facilities ensuring a trouble free operational environment whilst applying the painting and decorating skills and knowledge required for the task.  This includes inspecting assets which require painting, assessing & reporting what work is required, and undertaking that work.
  • Inspect and refurbish wall surfaces, to determine the necessary repair techniques and determine the most cost effective method for achieving a durable and quality finish.
  • To execute workmanship to a high standard and an ability to apply protective and decorative paint surfaces according to Instructions, using various tools and following the Materials Safety Data sheet.
  • Prepare walls and other surfaces for painting by scraping, using sandpaper filling cracks and holes with the appropriate material.
  • Operate and promote working practices which ensure a safe working environment for self and others, contributing to the development of a safety culture and adhering to mandatory regulations & safety procedures.
  • Communicate effectively with customers and building maintenance team colleagues on the progress of completing work.
  • Proactively upgrade skills to facilitate the maintenance and repair of new assets being delivered into service to ensure that they are maintained in a manner which keeps them performing at an appropriate level.
  • Any other duties as reasonably requested by the company that may be outside the standard remit of the role.
  • To be knowledgeable about the facilities and layout of the airport in order to assist passengers and airport users with their queries



About you:


We are looking for someone who has/is:

  • A full driving licence
  • Either; 2 years experience as a painter and decorator OR has completed a qualification or training program covering painting and/or decorating
  • Conscientious with great attention to detail.
  • Good basic math skills.
  • Comfortable working at height
