The role

 

Provide expert planning and scheduling support across capital projects to ensure timely delivery and alignment with strategic programme milestones.

Develop, maintain, and optimise integrated project schedules that directly inform and contribute to the Airport Integrated Master Programme (IMP), enabling enterprise-wide visibility, scenario analysis, and informed decision-making.


Principle Accountabilities


•    Project Schedule Development
Create and maintain detailed project schedules using recognised planning tools (e.g. Primavera P6, MS Project), aligned with delivery milestones and contract requirements.
•    Resource and cost load schedules to provide an understanding of how changes in activities result in changes in resource requirements and capital outturn
•    Progress Monitoring & Reporting
Track progress against baseline schedules and highlight risks or variances that could affect delivery outcomes. Support reporting cycles producing executive-level schedule performance reporting for Monthly Programme Boards.
•    Schedule Assurance & Forecasting
Review schedules for logic, accuracy, and realism. Produce short- and long-term schedule forecasts and provide early warnings to project teams and leadership.
•    Produce schedule assurance & performance dashboards for Capital Delivery senior managers to help them understand programme/portfolio health and proactively identify projects whose schedule is at risk so that they can intervene early
•    Stakeholder Coordination
Collaborate closely with project managers, cost controllers, and contractors to capture real-time schedule data and resolve timing conflicts or constraints.
•    Scenario & Impact Analysis
Support what-if planning and scenario modelling to assess change impacts, delay recovery strategies, and schedule optimisation opportunities.


What would make you successful in this role?

 

•    Degree or equivalent experience in Project Management, or a related discipline.
•    APM / PMI certification (e.g. PMQ, CAPM) or P6 scheduling accreditation ideal
•    Training or qualifications in project controls, delay analysis, or Earned Value Management (EVM) ideal

•    Strong understanding of project planning principles, critical path methodology, and programme controls.
•    Proficiency with scheduling software (Primavera P6, MS Project).
•    Awareness of project lifecycle stages within capital infrastructure projects.
•    Experience supporting project planning in infrastructure, aviation, utilities, or construction programmes.
•    Demonstrated success in schedule development, performance analysis, and stakeholder coordination.
•    Ability to translate complex schedule data into clear, actionable reports.
