The role
You’ll help shape and deliver London Stansted Airport’s public affairs and stakeholder engagement activity, building trusted relationships with political, business and regional partners to support the airport’s continued growth, transformation and contribution to the region. You’ll promote the airport’s priorities on issues including surface access, decarbonisation, night noise, education and skills, while supporting campaigns and engagement programmes that demonstrate the airport and MAG’s economic and social value.
What will make you successful in the role?
You’ll have experience in public affairs, policy, stakeholder engagement, communications or a related field, gained in a political, corporate, public sector, agency, transport, infrastructure or a similarly complex regulated environment. An understanding of UK government, regional policy or political decision-making and knowledge of transport, aviation, infrastructure, sustainability, skills or regional growth policy would be desirable. A degree or equivalent qualification may be helpful, but equivalent professional or lived experience will be considered. You’ll also have the ability to understand policy issues, translate them into clear messages and advise colleagues on their relevance to London Stansted Airport, alongside strong written communication skills, with experience preparing briefings, updates, reports or stakeholder materials for different audiences. You’ll be organised and have experience finding AI solutions to help efficiently prioritise and deliver stakeholder engagement and day-to-day workload.
