About the role:

This role is to supervise, lead and develop a team of resource schedulers to deliver accurate, timely and cost-effective resource deployment plans to the Stansted operation. The jobholder will focus on issues such as -


 •         Delegation of daily activities

•          Design of daily work plans

•          Overtime requirements

•          Absence backfills

•          Process and policy adherence

•          Collation of reports

•          Continuous improvement initiatives

•          Support & Development of the team


As a Resource Scheduling Supervisor, you will ensure the Resource Scheduling department is run efficiently and in delivered in a way which proactively improves performance and the stakeholder experience. This role will develop, lead and support Resource Scheduling colleagues to drive engagement.

The jobholder will, on occasion, deputise for the resource planning manager at meetings, including some liaison with internal and external stakeholders – e.g., Duty Managers and 3rd Party Agencies.


Principal Accountabilities:


•          Supervise a team of resource schedulers to meet performance expectations

•          Ensure the work environment is safe, secure and Healthy

•          Day to day oversight of operational resource plans for all operational areas

•          Daily and Weekly reporting against opex targets

•          Delivery of optimally staffed resource plans across all operational areas

•          Compliance with both legislative and local rules and guidelines

•          Supervision of resource team including auditing tasks completed

•          Evaluating performance and provide feedback

•          Support in resolving employee issues and disputes

•          Continuous Improvement delivery plan

•          Daily and monthly reporting packs

•          Ad-hoc project work

•          Set good examples of leadership

  • Strong technical skills, ability to use macros, build spreadsheets, analyse data, use formulas, set up formulas such as VLOOKUP, SUMIF, multiple if functions.
  • Excellent attention to detail



To be successful in this role you will need a keen eye for detail, ability to analyse and interpret data, understanding of processes and systems. You would also benefit from experience of supervising a team. You will be able to give feedback, develop two-way communications and deliver messages in a sensitive way both to individuals and teams. As a natural leader, you will build effective, lasting professional relationships with stakeholders and colleagues and flourish a high paced, challenging and changing environment.
