About the role:


As Security Programme Change Director, you will lead all operational change and operational readiness activation and transition (ORAT) for our Future Security Change Programme at Stansted Airport. This will involve collaboration with the Chief Development Office and associated programme teams to develop future state operations, identify what is needed to integrate new technology and define all associated change activities such as training, SOPs, engagement and operational readiness for the transition. You will hold a holistic view of all security change at the airport leading all integrated programmes of works. Other elements of the role include:


  • Identifying all operational activities associated with the implementation of new technology and systems, fully defined and managed to avoid airport disruption
  • Engaging with the Airport Operating Community (AOC), specifically airlines, to ensure engagement in the change programme
  • Supporting any discussions between the Regulator (such as DfT) and the airport MD / COO / Chief Development Officer
  • Ensuring wider security change and performance improvement initiatives at the airport are integrated into one holistic security operational change programme
  • Advising on changes such as roster patterns, changes to local working arrangements, throughput performance improvements, compliance improvements, or passenger/user experience improvements
  • Hold any negotiations with trade unions to discuss and gain engagement into the change programme


What will make you successful in this role?


You will be a seasoned Programme Lead with demonstrable experience of leading successful programmes in a fast paced, complex stakeholder environment, combining people, operational performance and integration of new technology. You will have substantial experience of operational readiness activation and transition (ORAT) related activities, controls and models. Also, you will have a fantastic ability to to influence and collaborate positively across different business units. Ideally, you will be familiar with airport and aviation environments, and familiar with security processes however this is not essential for the role.
