The role
Lead on security related process improvements and business changes and be the subject matter expert to influence stakeholders across the business when introducing new products into the operation.
Work closely with others to deliver security products and performance improvements in line with the short and long-term business objectives.
Identify opportunities to improve Terminal Security efficiency and effectiveness, utilising performance management information to motivate and mobilise the Security Managers / Security Performance Managers and front line teams to drive continuous performance improvement against KPI service standards so that they are clear about their contribution to the overall business.
Accountabilities
• Track and drive our most important business metrics, proactively identifying trends or risks within our data and conduct root cause analysis to identify corrective action.
• Oversee the day to day Security Operation, ensuring resourced and able to deliver with assets available through liaising with Resourcing and Engineering Departments.
• Create, develop and deliver a 12-month operating plan for terminal security focused on engagement and productivity.
• Lead and drive business planning activities with the planning team, highlighting and delivering opportunities to enhance business performance and efficiencies.
• Lead on people change activities and implement them into the operational environment and track progress.
• Responsible for the end to end delivery of process, technology and people change, developing a culture of continuous improvement.
• Measure the success of change programmes, ensuring we deliver business case outcomes and measure the effectiveness of change.
• Deputise for the Head of Security and other operational roles as required.
What will make you successful in the role?
• Demonstrable experience in managing change and departmental growth in a collaborative manner
• Strong leadership, influencing and communication skills at all management levels to ensure stakeholders deliver outcomes that meet regulatory and operational requirements
• Has a rigorous approach to problem solving and analytics. Can produce, interpret, and draw conclusions from analysis
• Must have strong Excel and Powerpoint skills
• Has a continuous improvement mindset and demonstrable experience of improving performance by introducing more efficient working practices and / or technology
• Proven planning capability essential
• The ability to understand the strategic impacts of your decision considering the impact on the wider business and teams
We are ideally looking for people who have previous Aviation, Airport, Airline or Transport Industry experience.
