The role

Duties include: -

  • Working within a team cleaning our terminals 24/7 365 days a year to ensure our customers always receive an excellent customer experience.
  • Ensuring the successful day to day delivery of cleaning and waste away in the allocated area of responsibility.
  • Providing the highest level of service ensuring excellent company standards and a good eye for detail.
  • Responding positively, politely, and promptly to all customers and carrying out duties in a professional and courteous manner.
  • To ensure COSHH and Health & Safety regulations are adhered to, and any incidents, issues or faults are reported in line with procedures.
  • Be responsible for providing support to all areas within the Soft Services delivery including completion of laundry duties, waste away functions, coordination of detailed cleaning schedules, coordination of biohazard equipment and training/supervision & office cleaning.
  • Ensure timely fault reporting of any asset failures and health and safety occurrences.
  • Reporting any maintenance issues in line with procedures.
  • Self-motivated and able to delegate tasks to the cleaning team
  • Stocking cleaning cupboards and deputising for the cleaning coordinator when required.

What will make you successful in the role?

Ability to handle heavy equipment and machinery used in cleaning such as using electronically powered scrubbing / polishing / vacuuming machines to scrub, polish, spray and clean floors (after receiving proper instruction and training)

  • Ability to walk, bend, push, pull and lift repetitively during working hours.
  • Knowledge of COSHH in relation to cleaning chemicals, proper storage, and disposal methods
  • Strong team player with excellent communication skills

Basic level of spoken English and IT literacy required to understand safety instructions and liaise with customers
