The role
As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be part of a Project integrated Capital Delivery team responsible for Procurement and contract management activities to safely deliver our Capital Plan within budget and within schedule. The Programme includes multiple projects with a total value of circa £50m / years.
We adopt a category management approach to drive standardisation against a total cost of ownership model and you will develop and implement sub-category strategies that are aligned with business needs. All roles require the ability to collaborate and build strong relationships.
You will be responsible for managing our Construction and Professional Services Frameworks as well as leading / supporting Quantity Surveyors under your direct control and internal and external stakeholders

What will make you successful in the role?
You will be a coaching leader, with a proven experience of successfully managing a category, or area of spend, at a strategic level within a construction / operational environment.
We will also need you to:
- “Deliver beyond savings” - Develop, manage, and implement category strategies that support business needs to reduce risk and maximise opportunity.
- Drive commercial and operational KPIs.
- Have experience of implementing and managing Framework Agreements while leading the Procurement and contract admin for Project calls offs
- Able to demonstrate successful Supplier Relationship & Performance Management providing client benefits
- Demonstrate advanced stakeholder management skills
- Be qualified to degree level (or have an equivalent experience level) with RICS (or working towards RICS, with financial support from us!)
