The role
You will lead, inspire and develop operational teams to deliver safe and efficient flight operations, ensuring full compliance with Aerodrome Certification requirements while continuously improving safety, performance, and operational standards to support Manchester Airport’s operational and business objectives.
What will make you successful in the role?
- Strong leadership ability, with proven experience of developing high-performing teams and promoting company values
- Extensive experience managing complex airfield operations safely and efficiently.
- Advanced working knowledge of Airfield Operations, Aerodrome Certification Standards and Aerodrome Regulations, and Safety Management Systems,
- Proven ability to manage ATM processes, maximise airfield capacity and minimise delays, and lead through operational disruption
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and report-writing skills
- Customer-focused with strong commercial and business continuity awareness
- 5+ years’ airport/airfield operations experience, including management roles, with airfield driving experience
- Demonstrable experience of implementing or driving change across diverse teams and operations
