About the role:


The Aviation Contracts Manager (ACM) holds responsibility for the administration of all aviation commercial contracts at Manchester Airport. This role covers the scheme of delegation process, contract signature, governance, performance monitoring, financial reconciliation and financial settlement of all the aviation contracts in place. The role will work directly within the commercial aviation team (reporting into the Aviation Director) but also directly with the Finance team to administer the aviation contracts, making sure that all of the agreements in place are managed correctly.  
 

The ACM will work towards improving our systems of monitoring passenger numbers, air traffic movements and aircraft types against the aviation agreements, to ensure that all facets of the agreement are correctly captured and dynamically monitored.  The role requires an extremely keen eye for detail coupled with a passion for commercial aviation.  The candidate will be excellent in managing internal stakeholders and will also have the ability to engage with our airline partners.  In addition, the role will assist the commercial aviation team to grow the local analytical function by having ownership of the back of house data to support and be involved within the Key Account Management and New Business Development processes.

 

What will make you successful in this role:


The successful candidate will have a proven ability to analyse and present data, have a great understanding of finance in particular airport pricing, good interpersonal skills, comfortable dealing with multiple (often senior) stakeholders and managing their expectations.

 


•    Extensive knowledge of aviation industry and airline business models.
•    Collaborative in approach looks to engage stakeholders.
•    Degree educated or equivalent in finance, economics, business, legal.
•    Articulate, with good writing skills.
•    Can manage your own time and prioritise your tasks whilst working to fixed deadlines.
•    Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint & Word is a requirement of this role.
