MAG are now recruiting for Bus Drivers like you, to ensure the safe transportation of our staff and passengers to the various locations on or around the airport. At present we cover 6 car parks with our fleet of vehicles, driving on average 1.4 million miles a year.

What will I be doing as a Bus Driver?

 

 

Responsible for the safe transportation of the public and authorised users to the various car parks, terminal buildings and operational areas on the Airport premises.

Assist passengers, when necessary, with their luggage and ensure that items are safely secure on the vehicle.

Adhere strictly to P.C.V. (passenger carrying vehicle) Law and Regulations and the Road Traffic Act as applies, (as covered in Driver Training and P.C.V. Test) so that all statutory requirements are met.

Report any defects on either the coaches or any other parking equipment to the Customer Transport Manager on duty to ensure the safety and comfort of the customers.

Report any suspicious circumstances or damaged vehicles observed whilst on route to the Customer Transport Manager on duty to ensure the safety of passengers and meet the customer service standards expected of a gold standard car park.

Prepare written official reports as and when requested in connection with incidents if involved or a witness whilst on duty in order to ensure that customer service standards are met and corporate guidelines are completed.

Report items of lost property as soon as items are found.

Ensure that the courtesy coaches are kept clean inside and out permanently and undertake cleaning duties fuelling and putting vehicle through vehicle wash.

 

  

As you can imagine the airport never sleeps therefore, full flexibility is essential as this role covers a 24/7 operation which will include a mix of day and night shifts.

 

Role requirements

 

It’s imperative that you have a clean driving licence and held a PCV licence for at least 2 years

 

In addition to this, you also will hold a valid CPC driver validation card.

 

Please note, we will require you to bring a print out of all your completed and outstanding CPC modules. This can be found by logging onto https://www.gov.uk/check-your-driver-cpc-periodic-training-hours.  

Please allow yourself enough time to complete this prior to you interview. You will need to apply for a pin code which will be sent via letter to the address on the licence, to then access the information. If you have not completed all modules, we will be unable to progress with your application.

 

Any employment offers are subject to security clearance therefore, a 5-year address history & employment history checks will be carried out, alongside a criminal record check.
