The Role
As a Commercial IT Account Manager, you’ll be a key part of MAG Technology, helping to deliver our ambitious growth targets. You’ll support the Head of Commercial IT by managing the day-to-day running of the Commercial IT function — building strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external customers and helping deliver MAG’s tech solutions to meet evolving commercial needs.
You’ll own the customer experience throughout the sales process — identifying client needs, shaping the right solutions, preparing proposals, and supporting delivery teams. This is a highly collaborative role, working closely with Product Managers, airport Commercial teams, and a wide range of external clients, including retail and hospitality operators, airlines, and ground handlers.
With a mix of pre-sales, relationship management, marketing coordination, and commercial acumen, you’ll help drive a pipeline that enables 20% year-on-year growth, with the aim of increasing MAG Tech revenue from £3.2m to £5.5m over five years.
What will make you successful?
You’ll be an experienced commercial or sales professional with a solid understanding of IT or telecoms environments. You bring excellent organisational and communication skills, and you’re confident working with both technical teams and customer-facing stakeholders.
You’ll need:
• Experience in a commercial, sales, or account management role, ideally within IT or telecoms.
• Strong commercial acumen, with experience in marketing, quoting, or product sales.
• A customer-first mindset — you’re great at listening, problem-solving, and delivering the right solution for both the client and the business.
• Experience working in a matrix environment and influencing across teams.
• Familiarity with the Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Desirable: experience in technical requirements gathering and working with product development teams.
