The role

In this key role, you will give advice and help to colleagues and leaders on construction health, safety, fire safety and resilience issues. You will assist us in creating a safe and positive work environment, where we learn from our events and improve our methods. You will be an advocate of ‘just culture’ and encourage and influence a culture of continuous improvement.

You will be in charge of checking investigations carried out by the supply chain related to on-site activities to make sure that underlying root causes have been recognised and addressed. You will then use any learnings and apply them to shape ‘just culture’ and enhance our processes.

You will also oversee construction activities across MAG and make sure they follow our standards and rules, without disrupting our operations. You will document and analyse any incidents related to construction and act as a designated point of contact for any escalations.

What will make you successful in the role?

You will have experience of working as a Health & Safety Professional in a multi-disciplinary organisation, preferably within a facilities, engineering, and construction setting (5 years minimum). You will have a good working knowledge of the UK health, safety, fire safety and environmental legislation and its application to facilities and construction and have a thorough understanding of the Construction (Design & Management) Regulations as they apply to clients.

You will be an effective communicator with a passion for collaboration to ensure that we always maintain strong working relationships with our internal and external stakeholders.
