The role

 

As an Development Engineer – Baggage Systems, You will be responsible for developing infrastructure strategies for all Baggage System and Hold Baggage Screening assets across the group airports. You will support development of investment plans that standardise assets across the group to drive efficiency and meet airport requirements for growth, service delivery, and capital delivery efficiency.

 

You will provide technical engineering input to all baggage related capital investment projects to ensure regulatory compliance while actively focussing on ensuring assets meet the performance requirements of the business. You will also support the ongoing development of the technical asset standards for the asset group to drive consistency where practicable across the Group airports and support efficient and reliable project delivery.

What will make you successful in the role?

 

You will be Degree qualified (Preferred) working towards chartered status in a relevant discipline. You will have experience working on complex engineering projects, and experience of conducting technical reviews against UK legislation, organisation standards and stakeholder expectations. Experience of working within Automation is desired but not essential. You will have a collaborative approach, within the team and with colleagues across the wider organisation.
