The role

 

Are you passionate about shaping the future of sustainable energy management in one of the UK's busiest transportation hubs? We’re looking for a dynamic and forward-thinking Energy Manager to play a pivotal role in our ambitious journey toward a greener, more energy efficient future. You’ll be at the forefront of the energy transition, identifying, implementing, and overseeing strategies for the integration of renewable generation and flexible demand assets across our facilities. You’ll optimise the performance of existing assets and identify and implement new and innovative technologies to drive down carbon emissions, optimise energy consumption, and enhance our overall energy resilience. Other accountabilities include:

  • Manage the Energy Management System (EnMS) according to the MAG ISO50001 standard
  • Responsible for the implementation and development of the MAG Energy strategy
  • Work with key stakeholders, consultants, and contractors to deliver energy saving projects and initiatives including investigating new technologies and best practice.
  • Ensure that all UK-ETS, Carbon trust standard and ISO50001 legal compliance is met.
  • Direct energy data analysis and reporting and prioritisation of energy efficiency plans.
  • Manage 2 Metering Engineers in delivering the site-wide meter replacement programme.

What will make you successful in the role?

 

You’ll have a proven track record of developing compelling business cases for Energy schemes and initiatives, as well as the ability to manage projects from conception through to delivery. You’ll have at least 3-5 years’ experience in energy/building services/facilities management with an engineering or relevant technical degree, as well as experience with working with ISO50001. You’ll also have a working knowledge of electrical and mechanical engineering systems not limited to heating, chilling, lighting, AHU and BMS with the ability to carry out energy surveys, audits and feasibility studies and excellent IT skills including PowerPoint. Energy institute Level 2 Energy Manager, or equivalent and experience of UK-ETS would be desirable.
