The role

As the Future Airspace Consultation Manager, you will play a key role in the strategic development and implementation of airspace change across the group. You will be responsible for:

 

  • Supporting the delivery of airspace change as required by the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) in CAP1616, to deliver the CAA’s Airspace Modernisation Strategy (AMS)
  • Managing the delivery of the communications and stakeholder engagement elements of MAG’s Future Airspace programme.
  • Supporting the creation and managing the delivery of MAG’s Future Airspace consultation strategy
  • Creating concise, relevant, and engaging consultation materials in printed and digital format.
  • Acting as the contact for the Corporate Affairs team and other departments across MAG to manage airspace consultations.
  • Managing and maintaining key relationships with local community representatives.
  • Ensuring our communication and engagement strategies leading up to and supporting the public consultations are outcome based, delivered to timeframes, and meet business needs as well as relevant guidelines.

What will make you successful in the role?

  • You will be successful in the role if you have a strong background in public consultation, particularly on major infrastructure projects. You will be aware of the political and legal implications of consultation and engagement and be able to make complex information accessible and understandable for a wide range of audiences.

 

  • Your customer service abilities should be top-notch, encompassing drive, negotiation, persuasion, and conflict management. Your skills will allow you to effectively interact and influence individuals across all levels of the business and various external parties that include technical staff, community delegates and politicians.

 

  • You will also have good knowledge of aircraft noise reporting and existing routes and be willing to travel occasionally to other MAG airports.

 

  • Prior experience with software tools for analysing survey and customer feedback data is also desirable.
