The role


You’ll be responsible for leading all Management Accounting activity for London Stansted Airport (whist based at Manchester Airport) ensuring that accurate and technically robust management accounts are produced in a timely manner and in line with group finance service levels. You’ll build and maintain key relationships with Divisional Finance Directors, Head of Group FP&A and external auditors. You’ll help drive a culture of continuous improvement within Finance whilst supporting a robust financial control framework. You’ll be responsible for leadership of the team and implementing and driving a culture of best practice, and you’ll support internal and external stakeholders and the meeting of agreed SLAs.

 

What will make you successful in the role?


You’ll be a qualified accountant with 3 years PQE and have a minimum of 5 years experience in the preparation and review of management accounts, with experience of working within a General Ledger function, at this level.  You’ll be able to demonstrate strong leadership skills, with a minimum of 3 years line management experience. You’ll have strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate and collaborate effectively at all levels throughout the organisation, and have the ability to actively engage stakeholders and colleagues to ensure processes are executed consistently and complied with. You’ll be able to manage multiple priorities and to thrive under tight deadlines and high-pressure situations alongside a continuous improvement mind-set with the ability to manage change. You’ll be self-motivated, apply high professional standards and will bring a strong focus on internal customer service levels to the role. You’ll also ideally have experience of SAP or similar ERP systems and have intermediate to advanced Excel skills.
