The role

 

This key role involves using your insight, commercial awareness, and subject matter expertise to perform audit and assurance tasks across various business areas and departments within MAG.

 

You will be responsible for managing audit and business assurance projects from planning to completion, following MAG’s Internal Audit methodology and CIIA best practice. You will also write high-quality audit reports that provide value and highlight risk exposure and control gaps.

 

Moreover, you will collaborate with other team members to deliver financial, commercial, and operational assurance, and suggest process and control enhancements. You will work closely with the wider Risk and Insurance team and be skilled in developing strong relationships with business stakeholders in order to serve as a trusted advisor.

 

You will also assist the Group Head of Internal Audit and/or the Director of Risk & Assurance with any other assurance, audit or risk management activities as needed.

 

What will make you successful in the role?

 

To be successful in this role, you will ideally be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA) or internal audit (CIIA) professional or qualified by experience with at least 3 years of prior experience. You will be able to showcase your ability to build and sustain positive working relationships with stakeholders at all levels and have the ability to influence effectively. You will also be a self-starter with a strong focus on your own Continuous Professional Development.

 

It would be very beneficial for you to have previous experience of auditing a in Group/Head Office functions such as HR, Finance or Procurement and to be skilled in data analytics software tools.
