The Role

As Head of Commercial IT, you’ll play a pivotal role in growing MAG Technology’s revenue to £5m+ over five years. You’ll lead the charge in selling traditional telecoms and next-gen IT infrastructure to internal and external customers – including major airlines, retailers, and potentially airports beyond MAG’s own. This role combines strategic planning, sales leadership, and stakeholder management to drive profitable growth and innovation.
You’ll define and execute sales strategies, build lasting customer relationships, and bring valuable insights back into the business to help shape product development and pricing decisions. Internally, you’ll lead a small core team and influence across matrixed functions to ensure delivery is aligned to commercial outcomes.


What will make you successful?

You’ll be a charismatic commercial leader with a track record of delivering consistent sales growth in IT, telecoms, or technology environments. You have demonstrable success in key account management, strategic selling, and product-focused sales environments.
With experience in a leadership role, you’ll combine strategic vision with hands-on execution, managing internal and external stakeholders with credibility and commercial savvy. You’ll be confident presenting at a senior level, making decisions on pricing and partnerships, and mentoring your team to deliver high performance.
Experience we’re looking for includes:
•    Proven success in achieving and exceeding revenue targets
•    Strong commercial acumen and market insight
•    Ability to define and deliver sales strategies and pipelines
•    Excellent stakeholder and relationship management – both internal and external
•    Experience working with or selling into major airlines, retailers, or airport tenants
•    Leadership experience managing direct and matrixed teams
•    Experience influencing product strategy with customer insight
•    Gravitas to lead at pace and drive change
