Job Purpose



The Compliance Manager is responsible for ensuring the development of the required controls, processes and procedures for CAVU to ensure compliance with MAG Policies and legal compliance requirements.


Working with the relevant teams within CAVU, the Compliance Manager will identify gaps in existing controls, processes and procedures or where such controls etc are required. The Compliance Manager will support the relevant teams to develop and implement controls etc, and then monitor compliance with such controls.


The Compliance Manager will act as the main point of liaison between the MAG Cyber, Data Protection and Risk, Audit and Assurance teams. Supporting the CAVU teams with engagement with these MAG teams.



Principal Accountabilities



  • To identify risk exposure and control weaknesses, and promote process and control improvements that assist CAVU in achieving its strategic objectives whilst optimising the balance between risk, controls and cost


  • To assist in the development of the CAVU corporate and operational risk register, working with CAVU SLT and Group Risk to ensure the risks and mitigating controls are up to date and reflective of the current risk profile of the business


  • To work with the CAVU business to develop and oversee control systems to comply with internal polices and legal guidelines


  • Lead the evaluation of the efficiency of controls and support with the continuous improvement of controls


  • Revising procedures, reports etc at regular intervals to identify risks or non-compliance issuesChampioning compliance to policies, processes and procedures, including providing training and updates where appropriate
  • Primary liaison between CAVU and MAG Cyber and Data Protection teams
  • Collaborate with Legal to monitor enforcement of standards and regulations
  • Setting compliance priorities for the financial year and presenting to EXCO
  • Assess CAVU'S strategy to identify possible compliance risks and report to SLT and EXCO as required
  • Review the work of colleagues when necessary to identify compliance issues and provide advice or training
  • Stay up to date on MAG Policies and amendments to these, support relevant CAVU teams with changing controls, procedures and reports to ensure ongoing compliance with Policies
  • Keep abreast of regulatory developments relevant to CAVU as well as evolving best practices in compliance control
  • Prepare reports for senior management and external regulatory bodies as appropriate
  • Assisting the appropriate teams in working towards achievement of externally accredited standards (i.e. ISO’s)
  • Support the business development teams in responding to bids, in respect of CAVU compliance certificate and compliance standardsSupport the business in applying for and retaining industry certifications
  • Develop effective and positive relationships with all stakeholder internal and external to MAG providing the level of assurance required to gain their confidence in CAVU's compliance controls etc



 Desirable Accountabilities


  • Subject matter expert on CAVU’s key compliance areas: GDPR, PCI DSS and CCPA
  • Provide support to the finance and tech teams in regard to relationships with payment service providers
