The role

 

In this role you will provide leadership and strategic direction on Health, Safety & Fire Safety matters at Manchester Airport as well as leading a proactive, visible, engaged team that meets the needs of the business. 
The successful candidate will be accountable for the Health & Safety budget ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and MAG group policies, integrate safety requirements into all business processes, develop safety improvement plans, and continuously improve our management systems. The role involves inspiring a positive safety culture and serving as a trusted adviser to the Manchester Airport Leadership team and wider business. 

 

What will make you successful in the role?

 

The successful candidate for this position should have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a Health and Safety environment at a senior level within a large organisation and a proven track record in the delivery of business objectives and quality management systems. They should have demonstrable experience of delivering safety improvements, KPIs, and organisational safety culture change. The candidate should hold a recognised qualification at a minimum of diploma level, such as a NEBOSH diploma or relevant degree, and be at least a Grade member of the Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) or other relevant institution. Continual Professional Development in Health and Safety should be demonstrated.
