The role
As our Head of Talent Development, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping MAG’s future. You’ll be responsible for building the skills, leadership strength and organisational capability we need to deliver our strategy today, and in the years ahead.
You’ll design how we spot talent early and create strong succession for our most critical roles. Leading an integrated team of Talent Development Partners and Early Talent specialists, you’ll shape learning and leadership experiences that are intuitive, digital first and centred around colleague needs.
Your work will strengthen our culture, bring our EVP to life and give colleagues the confidence to build long, meaningful careers with us.
In this role, you will:
• Build a skills led strategy that helps colleagues grow, reskill and progress
• Create clear talent visibility and strong succession pipelines for critical roles
• Shape leadership development that excites, inspires and delivers real performance
• Bring our EVP to life through modern, human development experiences
• Put EDI at the heart of all talent and learning activity
• Use data and insight to tell a simple, compelling story of impact
• Lead and support an integrated Talent Development and Early Talent team
• Build a learning experience that’s intuitive, digital first and designed around colleague needs
What will make you successful in the role?
To thrive as our Head of Talent Development, you’ll bring a blend of strategic thinking, people centred leadership and deep expertise in building future focused talent and learning solutions. You’ll be confident shaping enterprise wide approaches, influencing senior leaders and creating development that truly lands with colleagues.
• Expertise in skills based talent strategy, leadership development and succession
• Strong understanding of digital learning, user centred design and inclusive talent practices
• Experience leading Talent Development in a large, complex organisation
• Proven ability to build clear talent visibility, succession pipelines and blended learning solutions
• Skilled at using data to create insight, influence decisions and drive action
• Confident communicator and strategic thinker with a practical, delivery focused approach
