The role
You’ll be exposed to a variety of accounting functions and will be responsible for basic analysis work, processing journal entries, reconciliations, and generating reports. You’ll support the Tech Capex and Opex Financial team monthly process and ad hoc activities to ensures that projects and the business are staying on track with budget capabilities. You’ll be responsible for ensuring that all IT equipment/services and contract renewals requested by the business are within budget, costed, ordered and delivered. You’ll be involved in processing journals, the capitalisation for c400 people and the financial tracking and reporting of over 100 projects in the Technology Portfolio. 

 

What will make you successful?
You’ll be highly organised and with a natural aptitude for numbers with the energy and enthusiasm to grasp opportunities to grow a career by making a difference and playing your role in delivering successful outcomes for MAG. You’ll be highly proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel (to manage and edit complex spreadsheets), PowerPoint, with PowerApps / Power Automate being desirable. You’ll have excellent oral and written communication skills, with a fantastic attention to detail whilst being able to work under pressure on multiple deliverables in a fixed deadline environment such as financial month end deadlines. Whilst not essential, some accountancy or experience working with numbers, large data sets (qualifications and/or work experience) would be highly desirable, as would experience of SAP, Oracle E business suites & Ariba.
